Woolen Baby Blankets
If you are in the market for gifts for your baby you may be shopping for a while. There are so many to choose from, it’s downright overwhelming. But that’s ok because nothing is more fun than shopping for a baby blanket. If you are looking for a special present to give at a baby shower or for the birth of a child, they make the perfect gifts.
Probably the most common is fleece baby blankets. They are relatively inexpensive and quite warm, soft and snuggly. You can find them crafted from fleece fabric printed in a variety of themes.
If you have a theme to your nursery you can usually find curtains and bedding to match. Merchants like Pottery Barn Kids collections also carry furniture, quilts, crib bumpers, lamps and other matching accessories.
You Have Options
Handmade quilts for babies are also fun to look for. If you don’t have any particular talent or craft that you are adept in you can find the following choices for sale around the net:
- Knitted Quilts
- Crochet Blankets
- Personalized Options
Auction sites like Ebay would be a great place to start. Many women such as stay at home moms and older retired women try to subsidize their income with crafts they have developed over the years. Sometimes the personalization is done by done by hand and sometimes these artisans make use of a computerized embroidery machine.
Online merchants offer this service as well but sometimes you can find creatively unique handmade baby blankets from a home based craftsman. (Or craftswoman as the case may be.) Quite often they will stitch the baby’s name and date of birth. Sometimes you will find baby quilts that actually have a picture of baby on it. I have seen baby’s footprints artistically quilted at intervals throughout a patchwork baby quilt.
Get More Than One
It is always a good idea to have several blankets around anyways. For colder winter months baby will need a nice thick quilt for warmth while in the summer you may only need a thin covering to give baby a sense of security at bedtime. Baby security blankets are more important than you think. There is a whole big world out there and sometimes baby just needs the safety of being wrapped in its own little cocoon. Of course you can always stay up all night rocking him but that might not go over so well with daddy.
Their Comfort Is All That Matters
So yes, baby blankets are useful. They keep babies warm and secure. But they are also fashionable and trendy. Like I said earlier, with so many to choose from you may be shopping for a while. Just make sure the child isn’t in high school before you decide on its baby blanket cause by then chances are that it will be a little bit too small for him or her!

Here are some silky baby blankets which will take full care of your baby and will not effect their soft skin . You can gat it easily from this site such as I got.
I think that a knitted baby blanket would be the best one for the baby as his/her first gift. A baby feels so happy and comfortable in it and a short smile during sleep is the best thanks ever received or given by anyone. However, there are some other options too, but I would prefer giving a knitted one to my baby.
I remember the woollen blanket that my mother gifted to me, it was so warm and I still have it as the best part of my memory. I can feel the love and warmth of my mother in it and have carefully kept it with me to feel it for another couple of years.
The handmade baby blankets are very safe and comfortable for your baby on which you can easily rely on. These blankets are made keeping in view the needs of your child as they are hand made. So, don’t wait till the last moment just get it.
Hey, I have some hand made baby blankets but I am looking for the chenille baby blankets for my twin babies (both girls). I think that I am looking in the right place online. Since I am a newly married with first babies I would also appreciate suggestions also.
Hi Lita, first of all I would congratulate you that you have been blessed with twins. I would say that you should better use cotton blankets for your babies than the chenille ones as it will give more comfort and warmth to the babies. However, you can also use the throw blankets or the woollen blankets, depending upon the climatic conditions.
Hey Simran, I appreciate your suggestion for Lita but I want to grab your attention to the first question also. She is also asking that whether she is looking at the right place for the chenille blanket. I want to tell you Lita that apart from Chenille blankets, you can also get silky baby blankets and many others through this site.
The throw blankets which I got from this site are good and now I have decided to try other types of blankets available on this site. The procedure to buy the blanket is very simple and you don’t have to take much strain for them.
